Tea Light Holder

Capiz is the outer shell of a marine mollusk and can be found in the shallow coastal waters of the Philippines. The shells are gathered from the water and then dried to open the shells. Empty shells are soaked in freshwater and then scraped to produce the desired luster. Each piece has its own individual beauty and color that are only enhanced once the tea light candle is lit and in place.

The unique shape of this candle holder is to represent a lotus flower which can be found all over the world and represents an awakening, spiritual growth, and enlightenment.
